Giving thanks

While I am still having a difficult time wrapping my head around the fact that it is almost December, I did enjoy the Thanksgiving break. We made a delicious meal with the help of the tween, and had a nice relaxing weekend.

The little dude is teething again so he was a bit of a bear off and on, but we got through it. The trees were put up, ornaments were made, and I packed up several orders to ship out tonight.

I really do appreciate all of my customers. I started making my Little Familiars and ornaments this year on a whim, and the shop has done much better than I thought it would. So thank you!

I have several ideas in mind for next year, but I am allowing myself a bit of a break. I do have my own sewing to do for Christmas still.

I am so thankful for my family and the fact that we are mostly healthy. I feel pretty blessed every time I get a hug or kiss from my little dude or my husband. The tween and I have a pretty good relationship and I am grateful for that.

I have a pretty sweet work team. We have more fun at work than most I think.

Thank you to my readers for all the likes and comments! I appreciate you too!

Despite the crazy in the world my heart is full of love. So my thanks to the universe for that.

Store closes for the holidays sign - Stone Spiral Creations

The holidays are approaching and so I will be closing the shop on December 3rd until January. If you had your eye on something, you’ll want to grab it now. We are down to only 3 ornaments left in the shop. Tarot readings will still be available, you can send me a message through Facebook or Instagram for that.

I have had a few public patreon posts as well as some paid content. You can find the free posts over here and if interested you can hit the “Become a Patreon” button and pledge your dollar amount so you have access to the paid posts.

Enjoy the quiet before the Christmas/Yule season really ramps up!

Little Familiars – In Stock

I was able to get the shop updated this week! The grey kitten and the purple/blue fox have been added. Head on over to the store to purchase. As always I am open for commission work. I have been able to create a few small kittens as pet memorials, which is sad, but I am happy my creation can bring some joy to those people.

I have a few more ideas in my mind and if I can figure it out I might have some fun new kittens coming soon.  For now, here is one more shot. This one was a custom piece I did . I may have to do more with their little tongues sticking out!

Vacation life

We had a mini vacation last week. It was our week with the tween and it worked out perfectly that my in-laws were hosting an event while we had her. This did mean a lot of car time, but we got through it. My step-daughter doesn’t get a lot of time with my husband’s side of the family which is really sad, so we try hard to find times to go see them. Anytime we have to work out these trips I think about how lucky I was that my mom didn’t try to keep us from seeing the other side of the family and did what she could to make sure they got time with us. We were pretty blessed that our whole family was willing to travel and make time when they could.

The trip up there went smoothly. The little man slept for part of it and was in an ok mood for the rest. The ride home did not go as smoothly;  he wasn’t feeling well and his teeth were bugging him. I spent a lot of time in the back trying to keep him occupied. It was a long 3 hours.

Little dude howling at the puppy

I spent most of the party watching the little dude interact with everyone. It’s funny how confident kids are. I wonder if he will keep that confidence as he gets older. Our visit went well, the kids all seemed to have fun together. The tween gets a little over controlling of her brother and cousins, but I understand that. I was the same way at that age. Controlling the little people around you is a safe outlet for feeling like you have some control in your life. We just gently remind her everything is ok when she gets a bit overbearing and life carries on.

We had a couple of good discussions with her about things going on in her life and she asked me to teach her how to do hand sewing and embroidery. I found a few patterns I think she could use as learning projects and then we spent some time sewing. I told her if she enjoys it and sticks with it I would get another pattern for her. She is pretty excited about that so we’ll see how it goes. She did ask to work on it a few times, which is a good sign.  Hand sewing is a good skill to have. You can fix a hem, sew a button back on, stitch up a hole… We also had a talk about how I enjoy projects like that as it is good for occupying the hands when anxious.

I managed to get a few more of my projects completed in the car. Two little foxes are now listed in the shop. I also managed to find time to sew a doll for my little dude and started on some Christmas gifts.

New foxes in the shop

I think it is super important for the tween and my husband to have time together so I always work a day or two when we have her for the week. The baby goes to daycare and the two of them go off for an adventure or just hang out and do normal life stuff. I asked them to pick a recipe or two for the week and so that lessened some of the stress I have over meal planning. I know kids are picky eaters, but I hoped that if she was picking the meal it would work out better. And thankfully it did. Whew.

The week was busy, but there was a lot of giggling. She got to have lots of solid quality time with her little brother. The weekend isn’t enough time sometimes, so it was nice to see the two of them running around and laughing together.  She looked so sad when she had to hug him goodbye, but I reminded her that she would be back in a week. She took a few photos of him too, and that will hopefully help ease the sadness.

After running around all week we relaxed on the weekend. I’m working on more projects for the shop and I’m pondering content I can also sell. I wish money wasn’t so tight all the time, I just keep hoping once my CDN bills are paid off things will feel easier. We’re getting there, but there is always a new expense that pops up. I’m trying hard to manifest a more positive outlook about money and doing all I can to bring in extra income. It is tricky, society has taught us that money is evil, and yet it is so necessary for so many things. I’m working through that.  The free courses I have taken online recently have helped with that mindest.

I am selling tarot readings again, if you are interested send me a message through the Facebook page. I plan to get something put up in the store about it soon too.

I hope you are all having a fabulous summer! Do you have any exciting vacation plans? Or do you do staycations? Whatever it is you do, I hope you enjoy it!

June recap

My online 101 class starts soon. I was amazed at the response I had. I expected maybe 3 people, but I have 12! Awesome. I still have to load all the content and get it ready to send links out, but I will hopefully get that all done this week.

The little moon circles I was running took a break, but we’re going to start back up at the end of the month. It will be nice to connect in person again. I’ve been doing a bit or rearranging in the basement so I will hopefully make my temple space a bit more cozy.

June was so busy I didn’t get a chance to work on many craft projects. My Little Familiars did pretty well as soon as I launched them, I had several custom orders come through. I hope to get the foxes done this month and up in the store, along with some other kittens. I also have a few other plans in my brain, we’ll see how those work out. Right now it really comes down to having the time to sit and do things. The little man is teething again, and those back teeth are fighting him as they come in. Poor guy. So he needs many mommy snuggles.

I was lucky enough to take the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People training through my work. It was interesting to look at all the habits and see which I already did, which I needed to work on and which I needed to start. I am excited to put it all into practice. The most challenging part was creating my mission statement and looking at goals. I am terrible about goals and planning. I’ll have an idea and just go with it without sitting down to look at the full picture. Crafting my mission statement made me realize somethings were actually important to me that I hadn’t thought about. I’ve printed it and pinned it up in my cube to remind myself of all of this.

Litha was a non event really. I put an offering out, I did a full tarot reading for myself and that was it. I really do need to sit down and rework my Sabbat goals, they’ve gotten hazy with the little man involved.  I had some ideas written out, but then the computer died and I lost all that stuff. Time to redo and put them in my BOS.

I hope June was a good month for you all, are you ready to enjoy the summer?

Magickal Bullet Journals, New Moon and Spring

I added a new item to my shop, some magickal pages to use in your bullet journal, orgnaizer or your BOS. I love my BUJO, and more and more I find I am using it to keep track of things going on in my spiritual life as well as my mundane stuff.  I hope you like them!

I did another New Moon circle with some local ladies. This was a bit more low key, we spent some time sitting with the idea of the animal energy that was in our lives. We each picked a slip of paper with an animal on it. I got scorpion.  I knew with it being the New Moon it was most likely going to be something dealing with shadow self, but I would have never in a million years thought of scorpion.

Scorpion tells me to release the toxic in my life and be renewed. It also tells me to be prepared to defend myself if need be. Surprisingly, scorpion is also about motherhood. It was an interesting read to learn more about this energy. I need to sit with it some more and figure out what I am working through.

We also celebrated the return of spring with divination eggs. I always take those plastic eggs and fill them with items. A charm, some beads and a rune and tarot card print out is what we had this time around. I love take aways in ritual.

My garden is also feeling the spring energy. Our tulips are coming up and so are several other plants. I can’t wait to see how beautiful it will all look this year. I also have to decide where my new fairy statue will sit. I got one for Christmas and she needs a home.

Shop update and Tarot show

First up! The shop has been updated. I managed to poke the technology and now my quote art is up. Please check it out! Each listing gives you 2 versions of the same image, one in cooler tones and one in warmer tones.

In other news, if you are in the Madison area, the Public Library will be hosting an event you may want to check out. The Bubbler will have a show of Tarot Art work. Its opening is on the same night as another event, and it looks like they will have tarot inspired things to do. If you are looking for something to do on a Friday night in April, you should head on out and check it out. I can’t wait to see what everyone created for their Tarot Cards. Each artist had a card picked for them and they had enough artists participate that 2 tarot decks were used. That is 144 cards for those who aren’t sure…
